Parent/Child Sign Language Classes

Our parent/child signing classes will be taught by Sheira Solomon. Sheira is a Sign Language Interpreter who has been working in the field of Interpreting and Deafness for the past 15 years. She holds an Associates Degree in Interpreter Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Therapy and a Master of Arts in Deafness Rehabilitation. She is proficient in American Sign Language and has been an Educational Interpreter in the Montgomery County Schools for the past 9 years. After extensive research and training, Sheira has come to understand the benefits of signing with hearing babies and toddlers, and now she wants to share these benefits with you. Sheira is currently in the process of becoming a Sign2Me Certified Presenter. Sheira has two young daughters who have both attended FMMM classes, ages 7 and 21 months, who each started to learn sign language at the age of 8 months. You may have seen her signing to her girls in music class. Come sign with Sheira and have fun communicating with your baby!

Our sign language classes will meet once a week for 10 weeks starting September 15th. Our schedule will be built based on the responses we receive from the form below. A class will have a minimum of 4 students with a maximum of 8 students. If you are interested please fill out the form below and mail before August 15th.
