Preschoolers are getting the wisdom of the ages in Yoga Jungle™ by practicing an imaginative combination of classical yoga forms. Poses named after children’s favorite animals stir up the fun in a nurturing, non-competitive environment.

 Yoga is an ancient form of meditation and movement designed for people to experience a connection with the natural world by imitating things found in nature through various poses.  Children seem to be born with this connectedness to nature but can become somewhat fragmented due to stress, environmental noise, illness, and other influences of everyday life.  In Yoga Jungle™, children are encouraged to nurture their sense of self, appreciate their bodies, and their intuitive nature about what is right for them.    

 Inspired by her love of children, Gyl Zelesnick certified Yoga and Pilate’s Instructor began teaching children’s yoga classes seven years ago. Knowing consistent yoga practice would equip children with an invaluable tool for a lifetime of mental, physical, and spiritual health, she created Yoga Jungle™. Traditional Hatha, Ashtanga, and Kundalini yoga exercises are done in a fun, kid-friendly way with interactive story-telling.  Parents are invited to share the experience as a partner to their child as they embark on an adventurous journey that always leads to the most fabulous place on earth–themselves.

 Gyl also offers programs and workshops for Teeny Yoginis – moms with babies, Yoga Jungle™ - pre-schoolers ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old, Growini Yoginis – school aged children, or Teen Yoginis – teens.
